Grand Canyon and Monument Valley
After Lake Havasu, we took a part of the historic route 66 to Grand Canyon, stayed overnight, and drove to Monument Valley.
Fromn Lake Havasu (landmark A), we headed towards Topock (landmark B), where a part of the historic route 66 starts. We followed the historic route until we hit Oatman (landmark C).
After this, we proceeded on better roads to Grand Canyon, were we stayed for the night (landmark D), which fortunately was less warm than Lake Havasu. There, we took pictures of sunset, got up early the next morning, and took pictures of sunrise again.
From Grand Canyon, we made our way to Monument Valley (landmark E), leaving Arizona and entering Utah. At this place, we also found some pretty interesting Ant Colonies
Next day, we made our way to a KOA in Moab near the Arches National Park (landmark F), which we are going to visit tomorrow.
PS: The who knows, knows and will recognize a picture showing us at the world famous, fictive research facility Black Mesa
